Coinciding with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the city of Milano becomes a great stage for an event that makes us fall in love in every corner: Fuorisalone. A set of activities, events and actions in the Italian city that focus on industrial design and interior design, distributed in the streets and in every space, with galleries and ephemeral exhibitions.
Because Fuorisalone, as they state, “is not an event strictly speaking, as it does not have a centralized organization and is not managed by any organization”; its spontaneous origin at the early 80s coinciding with the Salone Trade Fair remains the thread that binds proposals from beyond design and interior design sectors, such as automotive, technology, telecommunications, fashion or food industry. And every exhibitor can present their own vision about the evolution of their sector, hence the really interesting part of this event.
Within the exhibition set of the Milan Design Week, Fuorisalone is the perfect opportunity to meet three fundamental aspects of design: designers and their work, inspiring stories and creative proposals. Not surprisingly, some of the designers who have concrete proposals in the Lombard capital are also an active part of this movement: Chiara Alessi, Evan Orensten, Giulio Cappellini, Claudio Luti, Ambra Medda or Lorenzo Palmieri are some of the many names that provide solidity to a set of important events scattered throughout the city center.
It will also be the opportunity to learn new stories of important brands of these sectors such as Cartel, Dryad, Valcucine or Foscarini. Or discover the visions of different companies, artists and trends in over 30 events, conferences and shows that will make Milan a city completely overturned to the world of design.
A key week thanks to Salone del Mobile, its associated events and Fuorisalone, that annually marks a turning point for the latest trends and also for the way the design world keeps moving forward. And this year, Inalco participates in the Fourisalone with our own space in the neighborhood of Brera, presenting “Inalco Home Experience” at Spazio Fiorichiari, located in Via M. Formentini 9, corner Via Fiori Chiari. In the next article we’ll show this new proposal, so stay tuned!
