ARCOmadrid presents year after year the most relevant artistic trends from all over the world that can be later on applied to the worlds of interior desing and decoration. The 35th edition held last February 24th – 28th has been one of the most important meeting points in the international calendar and one unmissable event for trend seekers such as collectors, curators, museum directors, gallery owners, artists and multi-task professionals.
From its humble beginnings in 1985, in 2016 221 galleries from 27 countries have brought different gazes from the world that introduce us to emerging talents that want to create a name in the modern art scene. In Inalco we have carefully studied this fair and have found lots of variety and broadmindedness.
An edition characterized by quality and selection of content, as well as its strong international profile, as more than 71% of the galleries have been international, with significant Latin American presence (47 galleries from 10 countries), consolidating ARCOmadrid as the perfect meeting point for sharing ideas between Europe and Latin America.
Throughout its five intense days, ARCOmadrid has received this year more than 100,000 visitors, 30,000 of them professionals from around the world. Some visitors have been able to visualize risky creative proposals, different views and intense criticism, using art as a visual tool that allows you to focus on current social matters.
These approaches annually mark the guidelines for other industries, such as the interior design and decoration, which capture the essence of thess fairs and transform them into visions applicable to homes, businesses, hotels or restaurants. So we are very aware of the conclusions and the impact that ARCOmadrid conveys to our field, so we keep following the thread of innovation anywhere it shows up.
